My name is Tammy Estrada, and my work as a death doula is rooted in years of experience walking alongside families during some of the most tender moments of their lives. Before stepping into this calling, I worked in funeral and cremation services for 10 years, where I learned firsthand how powerful it is when someone feels seen, supported, and guided during loss. That experience shaped the way I show up today with steadiness, compassion, and a deep respect for every person’s story.
As a death doula, I help individuals and families navigate the emotional, spiritual, and practical parts of dying. My approach is gentle and grounded. I believe that end‑of‑life care should honor the whole person their culture, their values, their fears, and their hopes. Whether I’m helping someone create a legacy project, supporting a family through difficult decisions, or simply sitting in quiet presence, my goal is always the same: to bring comfort, clarity, and dignity to the process.
What makes my work stand out in the community is the way I blend professional experience with genuine human connection. I don’t rush people. I don’t use clinical language. I meet families exactly where they are, and I walk with them at their pace. My background in funeral directing gives me a strong understanding of the practical side of end‑of‑life care, while my doula practice allows me to offer the emotional and spiritual support that so many families wish they had earlier.
This work is sacred to me. It’s an honor to help people feel less alone, more supported, and more empowered during one of life’s most vulnerable transitions.
